Anthony Palicci takes 1st Place on the Cat 1 MTB Singlespeed Race at Sea Otter Classic

Congratulations to Anthony Palicci for winning the highly coveted Cat 1 Mountain Bike Singlespeed division at Sea Otter. We’re equally proud that he won the race on a 15 year old custom Sycip steel frame.

Quote from Anthony:

The Sea Otter Classic was one of my first races ever, and I’ve been trying to win the Singlespeed class ever since that inaugural participation, some 20 years on. Granted, life has taken a circuitous route with plenty of lapses in attendance, but every year the event comes around it’s always in the back of my head.

Although the ’21 version of the race didn’t have nearly the attendance of years past, nor the arduous distance it once did (the SS class normally did 2 laps for 40+ miles), I’m still beyond pumped to claim this one, especially on this bike. Cheers.
